JOB DESCRIPTIONJob Title: MSA Platform AdministratorPAYE Location: Bournemouth, UK Department/Practice: DevOps Platform Support Job Purpose and primary objectives: Kubernetes Administration, setting up and building Kubernetes Clusters - Installation, Configuration, Optimization, Scale-up and management Istio Key responsibilities : Configuration and orchestration of Kubernetes services like set up of Docker or K8, deploying Containers and Containerizing applications in the cloud and on-premise deployment.Key Skills/Knowledge:Extensive Experience in Kubernetes Administration, setting up and building Kubernetes Clusters - Installation, Configuration, Optimization, Scale-up and management from Scratch.Must have experience and ability to deep dive in to DevOps toolkit in production with AWS, Docker, Istio.Ability to execute codes in Yaml or Json and CI/CD experience with Ansible, and Jenkins.Strong skills and knowledge in Kubeless, KnativeKnowledge in configuration and orchestration of Kubernetes services like set up of Docker or K8, deploying Containers and Containerizing applications in the cloud and on-premise deployment.Deep understanding of Microservices architecture, IaaS, PaaS, SaaS Cloud scenarios.Leads from the front to solve complex, cross-functional issues that cross multiple technologies and can apply good analytic process to help bring incidents to resolutionExperience required:Extensive Experience in Kubernetes Administration, setting up and building Kubernetes Clusters - Installation, Configuration, Optimization, Scale-up and managementFollowing Experience in istio ( service mesh)Gateway with VirtualServices to Mange External TrafficVirtualServices, DestinationRules, and SubsetsMutual TLS and Istio PoliciesMigrating to Istio with mTLS, Authorization and IngressIntegrating Istio with Your Logging StackTelemetry Flow through Istio , Grafana and PromethusDuration of the Assignment:12+ Months
Additional remarks (if any): Professional level Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKE) or any cloud certifications written highly desired 5+ years combined experience in technical hands-on design, implementation and support of medium to large Cloud and IT Infrastructure Environment. 5+ Years of experience in all aspects of Cloud - AWS or other relevant platforms 5+ Years of experience in Kubernetes, Docker, Istio, Container platforms. 4+ Hands on experience in DevOps CI/CD tools - Ansible, Chef, Puppet, Elasticsearch, Splunk, Jenkins. Good Knowledge in Linux System Administration, Red Hat, etc. Qualification: Any Engineering Bachelor's/Master’s Degree with Certified Kubernetes Administrator certification is highly recommended.
