Role: Sourcing Project LeadLocation: Cardiff / RemoteDuration: 9 MonthsRate: £25 - £30/hour PAYE

What you'll do

Responsible for wing-to-wing execution of Sourcing process and Global Supply Chain development projects related to supplier forecasting, fulfilment, ERP purchasing set up, and supplier financial transactions, including implementation of the Supplier Risk Management Program with the aim to deploy standard work across the organisation. Make sure governance practices and project management practices are followed and improved as needed.Collaborate with business and functional leadership to define projects and initiatives within the given scopeDefine execution plans and approaches based on project scope, expected timeline and available resourcesFacilitate convergence of functional and technical knowledge and build project teamsWork with the globally located technical team, which will often comprise of members of separate organizations to coordinate day-to-day execution as per outlined planEnsure pre-defined project management processes and practices are followed. Drive simplification and improvement as necessarySupport the team with resolution of roadblocks and inter-dependencies. Partner with functional teams to ensure their tasks are completed as requiredManage project risks, scope changes and other non-standard events throughout the life of the projectLead and operationally support implementation of the Supplier Risk Management Program including deployment of internal processes and digital solutions for the relevant business areasCooperate with external suppliers and service providers as requiredEnsure stakeholder communication and progress reportingEnsure quality of deliverables is verified and matching expectationsWho you areBachelor's Degree in Engineering or technical discipline, or a Bachelor's degree with 5 years' work experience in sourcing or procurement.3 years' work experience with technical depth/knowledge in assigned commodities, or 3 years of Commercial Sourcing, Supply Chain or Engineering experiencePrior experience in communicating with external suppliers globallyExperience with data analysis and visualizationExperience managing projects with the supply chain and manufacturing functionsProficiency with Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, TeamsStrong team player - collaborates well with others to solve problems and actively incorporates input from various sourcesExperience working with others on a global basisDemonstrated internal/external customer focus - evaluates decisions through the eyes of the customer, builds strong customer relationships, creates processes with customer viewpoint and partners with customers to help shape their future initiativesStrong analytical and strong problem-solving skills - communicates in a clear and succinct manner and effectively evaluates information / data to make decisions, anticipates obstacles and develops plans to resolve them, and creates actionable strategies and operational plansChange oriented - actively generates process improvements, champions and drives change initiatives, confronts difficult circumstances in creative ways, balances multiple and competing priorities and executes accordinglyDBS experience a plusSmartsheet, QlikSense / QlikView, MS Project knowledge a plusPMP or related project management certifications a plus
