JOB DESCRIPTIONJob Title:Tech Soln WINTEL EngineerPAYE or limited company ( Mandatory ) PAYE Location:Coventry Department/Practice:Infra Job Purpose and primary objectives: ? To prepare LWD (Light Weight Design Document) ? Build test scripts for performing IVT(Infrastructure Verification Test) ? DNS troubleshooting and fix ? End to end to decommissioning planning and perform decommissioning. ? Understand the current environment landscape for the servers in scope for upgrade. ? Capture the list of requirements (Number of servers with Specifications with DC details, IP’s, to be Operating System and licensing details) ? Install the golden image and ensure the basic agents are installed (Antivirus, SCCM Agents, Backup clients and monitoring tools.) ? Adding the servers to member of a domain ? Coordinate with stake holders for e.g. Network Team, engineering team and Active Directory teams for fulfilment of any requirements. ? Perform a security hardening of the new built servers ? Ensure the newly built server are complaint and installed with the latest security patches ? Ensure all the newly built servers are complaint to CBS security standards. ? Submit the server for vulnerability and penetration assessment ? Remediation for all the vulnerable findings. (Registry settings Hot Fix installation as suggested or recommended by the VA report) ? Continuous performance monitoring of the built servers ? Coordinate with Active Directory teams to perform a failover testing ? Adding new CI’s in to the CMDB ? Manage Incident, Request and Change of new built servers. ? Add the domain controller to the existing DR solution. ? Perform post upgrade tasks and document the standards. ? Vendor coordination as per requirement (Symantec, Microsoft and VMware etc.) ? VM administration (VM Snapshot, DRS, HA and failover testing between hosts). Windows cluster configuration and testing. ? Backup policy configuration, test backup and restore. Key responsibilities (please specify if the position is an individual one or part of a team): ? Engage with the projects, understand Requirements and identify design and implementation tasks to deliver the required solution. ? Delivery of design (Low Level) may be required ? Execute delivery of the design ? Adhered ITIL process ? Support Incident, Service, change and release management as per the ITIL frame work and SNOW process control Key Skills/Knowledge: ?
