Role Overview

Are you tied of having to travel to the office or customer sites? If so this home based position maybe for you.

Reporting to the Manager of Tech Support, you will work with our team of experienced, veteran specialists who are experts in helping our customers protect their most valuable assets using our leading-edge technology. You will be a part of the Technical Support team, who support customers throughout the EMEA region. Daily you will work with some of McAfee's most valuable customers to help them protect their organisations against cyber-attacks, help them use McAfee products and services to the highest levels. The role consists of both reactive issue resolution and pro-active communication.

About the role:

  • Supporting our Enterprise products, including information requests and managing customer technical issues to resolution, maintaining proactive communication at all times.
  • Working on Service Request / Support allocations, as well as internal improvement projects.
  • Provide administrative support, including producing reports for management.
  • Maintain an accurate and complete record of activities for each service request for both the customer and McAfee
  • Liaising with internal global teams to identify and implement beneficial opportunities.
  • Taking ownership of technical issues until a resolution is provided.
  • Participation in Technical Forums.
  • Identify and share opportunities for training

About you: 

  • You are fluent in German and English
  • You have extensive experience working in a Microsoft Windows environment
  • 2 years McAfee Enterprise products or 4 years experience in an IT support role (eg Sys admin, Technical support)
  • Drawing on your technical knowledge, you have the ability to assess and understand the impact, severity and urgency of issues
  • You are passionate about learning new products and technologies
  • You are experienced working as part of a cross functional team
  • You have the ability to integrate quickly with an existing team so that maximum contribution to team goals can be achieved
  • You are customer focused
  • Network or IT Security related certifications would be desirable
