THE ROLE
The 2nd Line Support Engineer is responsible for the day to day administration of cloud enabled technologies in support of business project and programmes, ensuring that technology is available when appropriate to meet delivery requirements. It is an internal facing role with responsibility for the day to day technical operation of these platforms, working closely with line of business teams and technology platforms providers, both internal and external 3rd parties.
The 2nd Line Support Engineer is responsible for working with business users of these platforms and to implement required changes where necessary to ensure that technology services meet need, overall responsible for the configuration and administration of these technologies.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
The 2nd Line Support Engineer will manage operational technology platforms, covering aspects of administration and configuration in response to business needs.
You will be performing IT operations and maintenance in accordance to approved procedures and standards, including security auditing and patching.
The 2nd Line Support Engineer will create and review operational processes to ensure that technology systems can be maintained efficiently.
You will be able to help support the selection of technology and tools used to support the operation of cloud technology services.
THE FIT
You should have technical experience at a 2nd line level - providing day to day tech support to customers.
The 2nd Line Support Engineer should have experience of administration and management of Cloud technologies
You need experience in supporting Enterprise Infrastructure Services including directory, messaging, back-up and storage.
