Senior Business AnalystChief Operating Officer Directorate 2 year contract At Ofsted, we inspect and regulate services that care for children and young people and services providing education and skills for learners of all ages. We carry out hundreds of inspections and regulatory visits across England every week, supporting standards in education, children's services and skills. We're now looking for a Senior Business Analyst to bring insight, energy and astuteness to our Portfolio, Projects and Improvement team. The opportunity Supporting our digital change agenda, you'll help ensure all our transformation initiatives deliver operational efficiency across systems and processes. You'll be on hand to help the wider organisation to analyse, understand and articulate its business needs, draw these together into processes and requirements, and to oversee the maintenance and management of the process catalogue as our key systems are developed and enhanced. We'll look to you to work with a diverse range of teams to offer in-depth analysis, recommend solutions and act as conduit between brief and designed solution. Your skills and experience We're looking for a wide range of experience: An impressive track record of developing business analysis approaches to solve organisational problems Experience of creating and nurturing excellent stakeholder relationships, with the ability to understand and represent conflicting priorities The proven ability to evaluate the strengths and weaknesses of proposed solutions A history of successful impact analysis and the ability to synthesise complex information into clear recommendations Experience of leading the engineering and articulation of business needs into documented requirements Knowledge of Agile and Waterfall project management methodologies On the technical side, you'll need a business analysis qualification or equivalent.
