Client is a services and technology provider in the recruitment industry. Formed in 2014, client has been serving a growing list of satisfied clients supplying innovative products and services.

Role Background

The role is to work on the company's newest product, which is a web-service that disaggregates job descriptions automatically extracting skills, key terms, job roles, quantitatively classifying the content and generating visualizations. The first version of the product is live and has gained considerable client interest. The next step is to enhance the coverage of the system to encompass all possible work domains.

Role Responsibilities

The Project Data Scientist will be tasked with developing a machine learning based process that performs Automatic Keyword Extraction (AKE) from job description text. The process will need to be an unsupervised machine learning process that can scan a set of job descriptions, detecting word and phrase patterns within them, and classifying those terms according to industry sector and work domain.

The Project Data Scientist will need to work independently and provide regular clear updates to the Development Manager demonstrating progress and explaining the technical background. The code produced will need to be clean and efficient and documented.

Previous experience of extraction of domain specific keywords

Knowledge of LF-IDF, LDA, TextRank
