Salary of £45,000 - £65,000 Plus Benefits Package We are Hudson Fintech, an agile software development company serving the capital markets with advanced technological solutions. Our Hudson Platform has been built in-house from the ground up to provide a powerful software engine designed to handle complex trade workflows on virtually any type of asset or business line. Our software is all about flexibility and rapid adaptation. We place a heavy emphasis on high performance code with innovative approaches to problems. We are currently looking for a Java Developer to join us and support the delivery of client projects, as well as internal products. Work will range from the implementation of financial business logic to designing and developing infrastructure code. As a Java Developer, you will: - Liaise directly with end users and clients to gather requirements and analysis
- Write, test and maintain quality code
- Work closely with the Client Relationship Team to build value and effective solutions
- Develop new user-facing systems
- Ensure that all information is controlled within company, ISO and legislative guidelines
- Review any service failures and use these to drive a continuous improvement ethos
- Maintain and support our full range of products To join us as a Java Developer, you will need: - At least three years' experience with Java
- Experience in capital markets or finance
- A bachelor's degree (or equivalent) Experience with any of the following would be an advantage: Ion Anvil, Martini, Global One (or a similar system), PERL, Python, JavaScript or R, high performance/distributed computing, working with JVM bytecode, compiler development, dynamic code generation, cloud hosting, containerisation (Docker) or automated testing solutions.
