I am currently working with a client based in the east midlands who is looking for an information governance manager to join her NHS team on an interim basis.We need a qualified, experienced and enthusiastic individual to join our busy Information Governance Team.You will bring with you formal qualifications, excellent IG technical knowledge and significant practical experience and be able to work well within a small team and to communicate effectively at all levels. Experience of working in a comparable role within the NHS or a similar highly regulated information governance environment would be an advantage. You must have an up to date understanding of issues, concepts, legal and technical requirements of data protection legislation's, NHS and Department of Health related IG requirements.Day to Day duties:Assist with ensuring the company continually strives towards compliance and accountability with The Data Protection Acts, GDPR and other relevant legislationProvide specialist advice on GDPR/ Data Protection Act, Caldicott principles and patient information security and privacy, to staff throughout the organisation at all levels and in all roles.Owning Data Privacy Impact Assessments throughout their assessment and review process, and make highly technical assessments and recommendations.Management and delivery of Information Governance projects related to assurance and compliance for the annual submission to the NHS Data Security and Protection Toolkit.Provide specialist knowledge on all aspects of information governance and support the Head of IG and Data Protection Officer with the implementation of GDPR, cyber security essential and new emerging projects which require information governance intervention.Assist the Head of IG/DPO with internal and external audits as required.Author policies, procedures, guidance notes and reports to internal and external sources.Provide expert advice on data processing/ sharing and lead on drafting relevant data processing/ sharing agreements with third partiesUndertaken data mapping exercises to identify high risk processing and work with divisions to mitigate any privacy risks.Develop and maintain the Trust's Information Asset Register with support from the Information Governance Officer(s), providing advice where necessary.Conducting incident investigations and production of formal investigation reportsOrganisation and delivery of specialist training events.Co-ordinate and deliver knowledge transfer as required ensuring colleagues have an overview of their requirements to be compliant with Information GovernanceYou will be required to work from home and occasionally at the Nottingham City Hospital Campus able with a requirement to visit other internal and external sites as requiredRole Details:Inside IR35 Band 7 Full time Interviews take place 9th December Please apply now or contact for more details Please click here to find out more about our Key Information Documents.
