UI Engineer

35-40k + Benefits

Remote/North West based

Exciting opportunity for a commercially intelligent UI Engineer to join this progressive and highly scalable global software product suite.

Skills and experience required as follows:

At least 2 years of development experience working in a development team within a commercial environment.

Web Performance auditing - ability to use page speed insights, web.dev or other web auditing tools for performance measurement.

Knowledge of and able to avoid common security issues in web application

Team ethic and collaborative approach

HTML, CSS and pre processor (SASS, LESS etc.)

Vanilla Javascript

ES6 and JS frameworks like React or Vue

Have an understanding and use of JSON/REST/AJAX/GraphQL

Experience with version control e.g. Git/SVN

Familiarity with MySQL and database design basics

Experience in testing (browser and unit tests) and debugging

Experience with modern front end development tooling (Webpack, npm/Yarn, node.js)

Desire to further technical skills and knowledge

It's a bonus if you have:

Aggregator environment knowledge (pricing, booking platforms, payments, e-commerce systems)

Experience with Test Driven Development

Open Source projects or contributions What You Will Be Doing:

Designing, developing, and testing UI for web applications

Building sustainable code and libraries for future use

Converting user and business needs into functional frontend code to interface with internal systems You will be exposed to a wide range of software systems and technologies here, with real potential to develop your career as the company grows. Benefits:
