Python Developer (VFX Pipeline Maya API). Multi award-winning visual effects company is seeking an accomplished Python Developer to join their close-knit, dynamic team to support the maintenance and development of their ground-breaking VFX pipeline.

This is an incredibly exciting opportunity for an ambitious technologist to accelerate their career in the ground-breaking world of visual effects.

As a Python Developer you'll take ownership of the design, creation, testing and deployment of the next generation asset pipeline. You'll work in collaboration with a small team of talented Software Developers, Assistant Technical Directors and Tech Support on a variety of exciting projects, using a diverse, modern technology stack including Python, Maya and Nuke in a TDD environment.

Not only will you be supporting artists and producers to make impressive visual effects for the big and small screens, you'll have the chance to mentor less experienced members of the team.

Requirements:

You have strong Python coding skills

You have good working knowledge of TDD / Unit Testing experience

You're familiar with CI/CD

You're familiar with / have experience working on backend APIs

You have experience with some or all of the following VFX tools: Nuke, Mari, Hiero, render management software such as Deadline, Tractor, Grid Engine, understanding of colour workflow in VFX, 2D / 3D applications, Nuke / Maya in API development and Shotgun toolkit

You're a proactive team player with first rate communication skills
