SC Senior SAP Basis Consultant

Location: Chorley and Remote

Experience/Responsibilities:

- Significant experience of all Basis areas including - Monitoring using SAP Solution Manager, performance management, backup and recovery and HA/DR, transport management of ABAP and Java changes, database administration and management, and be experienced in change control processes and procedures as well as incident resolution.

- You will liaise with both internal and external customers, as well as being able to anticipate and manage escalations arising out of client support environments.

- You will be required to be part of an on-call rota for out of hours cover.

- Occasional weekend working maybe required to support project work or BAU activities

Skills:

* One or more SAP Technical Certifications (e.g. HANA, OS/DB, Netweaver)

* Implementation, support & administration of multiple key SAP Technologies & Solutions (e.g. ABAP, Java, Business Objects, HANA, Gateway, Flori, ERP, BW, PI, CRM)

* Support & Delivery experience across multiple SAP OS/DB Platforms (e.g. UNIX, Windows, Linux, HANA, Oracle, SQLServer, DB2, LUW, ASE)

* Backup/Recovery/HA/DR Technologies & Processes

* SAP Technical Updates & Upgrades

* Infrastructure/Architecture awareness (Networking, Virtualisation, Storage, Middleware, OS Platform etc)

* Cloud Based Deployment Experience & awareness (e.g. AWS, Azure, GCP, Private/Public)

* Input & contribute on continuous improvement/service activities.

* Working & leading Client/Internal IT staff

* Understand current/future SAP Technical Roadmaps
