Head of Cyber- Insurance Sector

Client is a global insurance provider based in London. Providing reinsurance, insurance and other based forms of insurance risk transfer my client is looking for a Head of Cyber to join their team.

This Head of Cyber role will be embedded into their already structured Cyber department within the company which services all areas of the business, in regards to cyber risks and re-insurance issues. You will be an subject matter expert within Cyber Security, you will be part of the performance for the wider group handling their client insurance portfolio which is underwritten in the business divisions and handling all associated underwriting risks relating to cyber.

They currently have an existing team of cyber actuaries and data security specialists and part of your role will be to manage and develop a team of 6. Working at a global level you will also be required to handle risk assessments, costing, infrastructure to monitoring and steering.

You will complete the and develop the group wide costing process and implement the business divisions and workflows, underwriting the IT infrastructure, vendor expertise around 3rd party vendor reviews.

Advance and scale infrastructure to collect, curate and exploit internal and external cyber exposure and claims data as a backbone for fact driven underwriting and steering decisions.

Shape the target cyber underwriting portfolio for the Group

Take major influence on underwriting expertise building and challenge underwriting risk taking decisions.

The ideal Head of Cyber will possess:

* A strong knowledge of the insurance and re-insurance, underwriting, actuarial and risk management

* At least 10 years experience of IT security

* Solid understanding of insurance products and Cyber specific underwriting capabilities & of state-of-the-art IT and database tools

* Ability to work on a number of projects
