Data, Reporting & BI Developer - (ETL, SQL, PowerBI, Datawarehouse)

West Yorkshire

£40000 - £50000 per annum

Established business going through a major technology transformation. The team work in an Agile environment and offer a flexible working environment with a share of home working and days on site.

The Data and Reporting Developer forms part of a new capability within the business to improve data management systems and processes which transform raw data into business intelligence and management information.

You will have a good understanding of data structures and be proficient in reporting and anlytics technologies. This role will be responsible for maintaining and improving existing data warehousing whilst developing the ETL and reporting routines. You will also play a key role in forming the future data and analytics roadmap. Responsibilities will include;

* Supporting data warehousing and data analytics strategy and roadmaps

* Maintaining and developing ETL routines and scripts together with troubleshooting and optimising existing ETL routines

* Building and support MI report outputs

* Building and maintaining data structures, source to target mappings and dictionaries

* Understanding applying data security principles

* Understanding data acquisition routines

* Collaborate with solution and technical architects on projects as necessary

* Document data flows and data processing routines

* Develop re-usable business intelligence reports

* Identify and implement data and reporting improvements

* Understanding the role of data marts and cubes as appropriate

* Implementing data controls and access

* Model data requirements, sources and flows to support large programmes of work.

* Investigate and report on opportunities to leverage emerging technologies (i.e. SaaS/Cloud-based solutions) to streamline reporting

EXPERIENCE

* Strong background in Data & Reporting development

* Good understanding of Microsoft SQL Server or other data engineering platforms and analytics tools for example Power BI, Tableau, Clickview and Jet Reports

* Demonstrable experience of ETL Management platforms (Talend / ETLWorks etc)

* Implementing data dashboards for data analysis

* Ability to communicate well with key stakeholders and non-technical audiences

* Ability and eagerness to rapidly learn new technology frameworks as required

* Experience in implementing data governance

* Knowledge of Data Management best practices

* Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment

* Experience of the Azure ecosystem is desirable
