Backend Software Engineer / Developer (Python Node.js C++) *Remote / WfH*. Are you an experienced Backend Software Engineer seeking a role where you can make a real impact? You could be joining a fast growing Cyber Security company in a senior role where you can influence the technical choices and direction on a leading edge security product that provides a new way to eliminate the threat of malware that prevents it from ever reaching a user's machine.

As a Backend Software Engineer you'll focus on the performance, reliability, scalability and robustness of the global platform. You'll analyse performance of production systems; architect and implement software enhancements to improve performance and scalability to ensure that all systems meet the required metrics including developing software for performance testing and designing and running load tests.

This Backend Software Engineer role presents an excellent opportunity to join a successful company, the founders have a track record of success and aggressive expansion plans.

The company is able to offer a fully remote interview and onboarding process as well as the ability to work anywhere in the UK remotely, with the caveat that you'll visit the office in Bracknell once a month to meet with the team (following the end of social distancing measures).

Requirements:

You have a broad range of software engineering experience

You're analytical with a logical mindset and enjoy problem solving with a genuine enthusiasm for optimising system performance

You have hands-on coding skills with Python / C++ or Node.js

You have a good understanding of networking technologies such as TCP/IP, HTTP, DNS and TLS

You have a good working knowledge of cloud based systems - ideally AWS and Linux OS

You're collaborative with excellent communication skills
