My Telecomms client is looking for a Transition Lead manager for an initial 9-12 month contract with the potential to extend.
This is to be based in London/ remotely due to the current situation.
This job has come about due to the implementation of the Finance Operating Model requires us to create an efficient and effective finance function. We will achieve this through optimising our shared service function and CFU finance functions to ensure that activities are placed in the correct function and location.
We are seeking experienced UK based transition managers to lead the movement of activities from CFU's and Group to a shared service centre (GFSS). This role will also be required to lead in the deployment of new organisational design within the CFU's as the operating is implemented.
What you'll be doing:
*Working with a CFU finance fucntions and the Grup Financial Shared Service Centre (GFSS) to delvier change through the transition of activities to the appropriate location.
*Accountable to the FOM programme and a specific CFU and the GFSS organisation to conduct effective and accurate due diligence of scope.
*Create credible and robust knowledge transfer plans for delivery.
*Mobilisation of transition team and assist in seeking process level solutions across the FOM scope.
*Excellent written and verbal communication skills e.g. PowerPoint decks and presentation thereof
*Facilitation skills - ability to hold audience and adapt tone as required
*Resilience and tenacity in getting the job done
*Influencing and collaboration skills
*Project management skills, and ability to prioritise own deadlines, and adapt to changing priorities and timelines quickly and easily
*Excellent stakeholder management, at all levels from CFO/FD downwards
*Strong financial process knowledge working knowledge of how Plan to Perform, Record to Report (including contract accounting) and Invoice to Pay processes work, controls utilised, how the processes work with business processes (e.g. forecasting) and how the processes interact with each other.
*Qualified accountant with line management/operational experience (Finance Directors or Financial Controllers background).
*Strong transition experience in near and offshore environments in a transformation environment - required to plan, manage risk and dependencies, maintain relations between the CFU/Group and GFSS and reporting through FOM programme governance.
*Experience in managing transformation and transition driven change in a complex global business, key focus on anticipating and managing and project/transition risks.
*System knowledge SAP S4 HANA or equivalent aligned to process and controls understanding.
*Shared services set up/optimisation experience.
*Business case - experience in providing inputs and assumptions to the business case.
*Team management and motivation experience.
*Telecoms knowledge is preferable but not essential.
*Planning and timing decisions when to move activities.
*Identifying activities to be transitioned within a CFU.
*Escalaiton of risks and issues to FOM governance and deisgn board.
*Identify and recommend action based on any exceptions to the agree FOM design.
