Full Stack PHP Developer (2 Year Contract)
Open to remote and flexible working

Can you programme in PHP, HTML, CSS, JavaScript and other technologies and want to make a positive, lasting impact with a leading charity?

This is an exciting time as our client is working on a major strategic project called ENOTs to launch a new international eAssessment platform - they are building it in-house and this role joins a team of developers, technical project managers and testers. You'll be working on the project responsible for the implementation of all required front end customisations using JS/CSS/HTML(5) and developing web front end interfaces and pages using technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. You'll also work on the back end, implementing developments and customisations of the assessment platform in PHP. You'll be working to interoperable standards such as IMS QTI, LTI and WCAG 2.1.

To join this friendly and supportive team, you'll need:

Technical Requirements
- Extensive experience and expertise with PHP, HTML, CSS and JavaScript
- Experience of working with a server side language in a full stack environment
- Good experience as a developer
- Familiarity with relational databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL)
- Experience of working within an Agile environment, building to detailed user stories and utilising Agile tools and techniques, such as JIRA (or similar backlog management applications)
- Experience of commercial software development practices (e.g. using source control and Agile development principles)
- Expertise in using web technologies such as AJAX, jQuery and XML
- Experience of using Git
- Experience of working with Azure DevOps

- Good communication skills, both verbal and written, and the ability to communicate clearly with non-technical staff
- The ability to work effectively in a pressured situation and to tight deadlines
