Head of Projects

Location: Bath Row, Birmingham

Salary: £78,000 per annum

Hours: 35 hours per week

Closing Date: 4pm on 27th November 2020

We're seeking a high performing Head of Projects to lead our project portfolio, covering both Digital/technology and business change. These are focused on delivering the strategic objectives set out in our corporate plan and designed to build upon our already impressive organisational performance.

Working with senior colleagues from across our organisation, this challenging role is responsible for driving the planning, development and operational delivery of our full programme of projects. Owning a significant programme budget and driving the performance of a sizeable PMO, your strategic overview will provide assurance that programme delivery is timely, within budget and enables the business to realise real and sustainable business benefits.

Our ideal candidate? You'll come equipped with substantial portfolio management experience, covering both digital/technology and business change projects, gained within a complex business environment. You'll have a simple, yet robust and transparent approach to project governance; with the ability to build confidence and provide assurance at the highest levels of our organisation. We need a tried and tested strategic thinker, who understands longer-term business outcomes and with the ability to plan capacity/resources and synchronise projects, in line our ambitious strategy and plans.

Your tenacity and stakeholder management abilities will be key contributors to your success. You'll therefore show us your ability to appropriately yet robustly challenge accepted thinking, truly engage stakeholders and exert influence at all levels of our organisation.
