In this Technical Manager role you would get to develop your capabilities, whilst getting involved in exciting automated machinery projects, often incorporating robotics, sensors and vision systems. You will be responsible for a small team of Controls Engineers, delegating work load, mentoring and supporting when needed as well as being able to take ownership of your own projects.You will be empowered to be able to handle the complete life cycle of a project from capturing customer requirements, through programming and integration to supporting commissioning.

You will be programming PLCs and HMIs and may have the opportunity to learn some robot programming also. The customer base for these systems is truly worldwide, so you will have the opportunity for varied international travel, with a possible frequency of a trip of 3-4 days each month.

You would be working for a company in Derby who has trebled their turnover in the past year, and has achievable plans for this level of growth to continue over the next few years due to their development of cutting edge machinery within their sector. To be suitable for this role you MUST have experience writing PLC programs for automated machinery from scratch for a minimum of 7 years.
