Software Development Project Manager - Internet of Things.

They are looking for an experienced Software Development Project Manager to help drive Smart Controls business to the next level. This is an exciting opportunity to work on cloud-based mobile apps and data-driven products & services in the Internet of Things space.

Joining as an experienced software app delivery project manager you'll lead the development of connected smart software projects across both internal & external teams. You will be comfortable working with distributed project teams, stakeholder engagement across the business & take responsibility for the operational management of development partners.

Your main responsibilities will be project planning, management, tracking, risk management of the deliverables within wider Smart Homes / Home Automation projects. You'll ensure delivery on time & budget, driving a culture of continuous improvement within the team, establishing a delivery process that aligns with the rest of the business

Title: Software Development Project Manager (Internet of Things).

Location: London 2/3 days a week the rest home-based remote working.

Salary: c £50,000 - £60,000 + pa plus pension bonus life insurance.

Start: ASAP client will wait for the right person.

Duration: Permanent full-time appointment.

About you: Most importantly, & essential, you'll possess a proactive, practical approach to software project management, being able to deliver complex app/software projects using your proven experience in the full software development lifecycle spotting & resolving problems before they impact the project.

You'll need to know how to work in an agile way, manage projects with remotely located people & teams scaling & adjusting methodology to suit the project. This includes managing outsourced partners & subcontractors, including both onsite & offsite developers

Any familiarity with software tools such as Jira, Confluence, Trello, & Microsoft Teams & experience of working with Internet-connected products (energy management, smart home, & smart device) or mobile app development would be a plus.

You enjoy learning about new technology & working collaboratively with your team, communicating your new ideas with them. This is an engineering-driven firm & you always own responsibility for your work & proactively deliver customer-focused work packages to completion.
