Data Engineer London to £650 p/day

Data Engineer / ETL Developer (Java Kafka Data Streaming) *Immediate Start Remote Contract*. Fast growing FinTech that is helping to revolutionise consumer banking through the use of advanced data centric, Cloud based technology is seeking a technologist Data Engineer for a six month contract.

As a Data Engineer you will collaborate with a small team responsible for delivery of the platforms' data and analytics service supporting Machine Learning. You will be building ETL pipelines to integrate their platform with clients MDM applications. You'll be working with Spark, Hive, Flink, AWS, RDS, Apache Airflow and containerised applications using Kubernetes and Docker.

There's a remote interview and onboarding process as well as the ability to work from home fully remotely (within the UK and ideally commutable to London).

Requirements:

Strong Java coding ability, Python and / or Scala nice to have

Strong data engineering with experience of open source big data technologies (e.g. Kafka, Spark, Flink, Hadoop)

Fundamental understanding of database systems and the trade-offs between different styles of database, strong technical design skills for data centric solutions

Good understanding of containerised application development and container orchestration systems such as Kubernetes, Terraform
