As part of our continued growth, we have a requirement for a Software QA Tester based at our newly opened Glasgow City Centre Office (when re-opened, until such time home working will be required). If you are a skilled Software QA Tester who excels in a dynamic fast-paced environment, where you can apply your skills by working closely with Operations and IT teams, then this could be for you. Are you experienced in full system development lifecycle (SDLC) validation, including design, developing and implementing test plans, test cases and test processes? You will be working closely with the development team and product owners preparing for and conducting capability assessments, providing insight into the findings for further remediation or assisting with the development of proper user documentation. We also provides eProcurement, eInventory, eHealth and eFunding solutions for clients around the world. What You'll be Doing: Testing: + Review requirements, specifications and technical design
+ Creation of detailed test plans and test cases
+ Estimate, prioritise, plan and coordinate test activities
+ Identify, record, document and track bugs
+ Perform thorough regression testing when bugs are resolved
+ Develop and apply testing processes for new and existing products to meet client needs
+ Track quality assurance metrics, like defect densities and open defect counts
+ Prepare the environment(s) including data and parameters
+ Conducting tests
+ Observing results
+ Patterns and irregularities
+ Capturing those results in a clear concise manner
+ Outlining problems
+ Highlighting opportunities for improvement Communicate Findings: + Provide test results with supporting dialog and insight
+ Monitor and consult on debugging process results Collaboration: + Liaise with internal teams (e.g. developers and product managers) to identify system requirements
+ Assist/support project teams with various implementations
+ Help visualise technical data in a way that is meaningful to business decision makers
+ Investigate the causes of non-conforming software and liaise with developers to implement solutions
+ Develop user documentation based on use case requirements About You: + Proven work experience in software development
+ Proven work experience in software quality assurance
+ Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools and processes
+ Experience in writing clear, concise and comprehensive test plans and test cases
+ Hands-on experience with automated testing tools
+ Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process
+ Experience with performance and/or security testing is a plus
+ Knowledge of SQL and scripting is a plus
+ BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related subject desirable
+ Excellent oral and written communication skills
+ Proven interpersonal and consultative skills
+ Analytical thinking and problem-solving capabilities
+ Excellent listening, written and verbal communication
