Here at the Chief Operating Office within Santander UK we push the boundaries and create innovative, customer centric tech solutions for Santander. We collaborate to provide these world-class technical solutions and are adopting Agile across our business as we digitally transform our platforms and services to create the bank of the future.

Our teams adopt change and continually look for new and better ways to deliver. We collaborate to solve problems and find solutions in what can be a complex and challenging environment. Our passion for excellence and our tech is what makes Santander Technology so successful. We champion diversity, form teams and support learning resulting in a people orientated and diverse environment for all.

We have around 2,500 colleagues working across the UK with a further 10,000 colleagues across the globe and our presence is everywhere that Santander operates. You too could be part of our tech team serving 133 million Santander customers globally.

Our team

Methodology within Engineering will be the cornerstone of where we are going as an Organisation. We will bring together the best practises for cutting edge tools and their processes, from all of the areas within COO to give a single, holistic view of how we deliver solutions to our Customers. This is an exciting space to be in as we begin the next step in our journey to digitalisation.

We are a highly motivated team with big expectations of us, so we seek individuals who are truly passionate about their work and possess the enthusiasm and aim to make things happen.

The opportunity

If you are looking to move your career in the direction of shaping the processes of future Santander UK systems then Methodology could be the choice for you.

We liaise with all of our COO colleagues, IT colleagues in other countries and 3rd Parties to produce and review AS IS and TO BE processes so that they align to the strategies of the bank. These are then used by the whole COO community to develop solutions mainly in an agile way. Key to this will be the building and maintenance of our KPIs metrics - as we need to understand how we are performing to be able to move forward.

Your role will be to work alongside all other parts of COO bringing these elements together - from designing processes directly with delivery teams, looking for and driving out synergies in tools and processes, understanding and building KPIs, to analysis of the metrics allowing for the building of learning and other plans for those teams to move forward
