What we're looking for

If you are looking to move your career ahead within VMware Administration, then Santander UK VMware team could be the choice for you.

Your role will be at a senior level working within the VMware team to provide VMware administration & support in a complex high availability environment, including implementation, production support, performance monitoring and tuning, disaster recovery, upgrades, patching, data migration and automation.

The VMware Engineers liaise with Santander Technology and Santander Engineering UK colleagues to support all aspects of the virtualised infrastructure across the bank. We strive to use new VMware tools and features and automate tasks wherever possible.

Key Responsibilities

Good knowledge of HPE and DELL server hardware; configuring, upgrading and maintaining.

Good knowledge and experience of large vSphere SDDC environments, deploying, configuring and troubleshooting.

Maintains support procedures, identifies issues, and resolves problems relating to applications and infrastructure

VSAN configuration and troubleshooting experience.

Experience with troubleshooting, reporting, and monitoring using vROps

vRealize Automation suite of products, VRA, VRB, log Insight etc.

Experience with NSX including installation, configuration, and management

Troubleshooting an Enterprise-class NSX networking implementation

Automation experience using automation tools (i.e. vRealize for automation (vRA, vRO or Ansible)

A team player and contributor within a busy team.

Excellent communication skills and an ability to work effectively and within a busy team

Accurate and methodical in their approach to tasks and troubleshooting.

Minimum VCP 6.0 qualified.
