Deliver insight from data using statistical and data science techniques, by applying skills in coding, mathematics and statistics.
The main activities are to:
*Working with cutting edge technology on marine geospatial data on a wide range of fascinating and impactful projects
*Work collaboratively on problems in a supportive and diverse data science team
*Work alongside our Data Engineering practice to implement industry leading MLOps approaches
*Deliver research projects relating directly to the marine geospatial environment.
*Evaluating and understanding the best way to implement MLOps in the data science projects
*Work in an agile team designing solutions to complex big data challenges and applying deep learning techniques
*Working with internal stakeholders to understand user requirements, presenting methods/results/uncertainty to end users.
*Producing prototype solutions and working alongside the Data Engineering team to realise and productionise.
*Supporting learning activities across the organisation to spread the word and grow the practice across the organisation.
*Working with like minds across academia and beyond to enable pollination of ideas and help to establish the UKHO as a leader in the field.
