Software Developer / Full Stack Engineer (JavaScript Node.js). Market-leading software house is seeking an accomplished Software Developer to enhance their capabilities, get stuck into a diverse range of projects and provide technical leadership to a talented team.

The company produces a powerful eCommerce platform that connects approximately 8 million members with more than 5,000 household name brands and businesses across the UK.

As a Software Developer, you'll work directly on the website / mobile application used by millions of people a month, taking the lead on building intuitive interfaces, optimising every aspect of the page for users, ensuring the fastest possible in-browser performance on both mobile and desktop devices.

You'll take ownership of updating current products and building new features with a focus on improving efficiency and functionality. You'll collaborate with key figures business-wide, including Product Owners, Tech Leads, Engineers and QA to prioritise and resolve issues.

This Software Developer role would suit a proactive leader who values collaboration and best practice. Not only will you be supported to reach your potential with regular training, you'll make an impact through mentoring others and taking a lead on projects.

*Please note: this company is able to offer a remote interview, onboarding and work from home during the current social distancing measures, with 3 days a week WHF going forwards. Requirements:

You have advanced Vanilla JavaScript skills with a broad knowledge of JavaScript frameworks including Node and Vue.js with Nuxt

You're experienced working on Isomorphic applications (either client or serverside rendered)

You have a deep knowledge of browser optimisation, page speed metrics and performance tools

You're familiar with Continuous Integration and effective testing of frontend code (they use Jest, Cypress, Jasmine and Karma)

You're a passionate technologist who pursues independent learning and is keen to keep pace with emerging technologies

You're a positive, proactive team member who excels when working collaboratively and can confidently take the lead on projects when required
