Software Engineer / Python Developer (Linux SQL TDD) Pioneering algorithmic trading house is seeking a stand-out technologist to join their exceptional global team.

This Software Engineer role would suit an accomplished technologist with a wealth of experience across object-oriented backend development, as you'll take ownership of designing and building highly reliable, testable Python and batch web systems to support global trading operations.

There will be a strong pipeline of projects and plenty of Greenfield development, where you'll work with the business development and sales teams to develop ground-breaking new products and features for financial exchanges and a new FX exchange.

Requirements:

You have strong object-oriented Python development experience

You're proficient in data analysis (ideally within a finance environment)

You have experience with advanced SQL techniques and PostgreSQL

You have good knowledge of Linux (basic system administration tasks)

You have broad knowledge of Algorithms and Data Structures

You're an advocate of TDD, BDD and clean coding practices

You have good working knowledge of CI/CD and experience with frequent releases

Experience in the following is advantageous: C/C++, Puppet, Jenkins, Django
