Arm is now searching for a senior technical quality leader that will report to Arm's senior quality executive. This role will be the lead ranking technical quality voice in Arm, and will be a key leader of our global product development community. The Senior Principal Quality Engineer will be based at our head R&D offices in Cambridge, England, with responsibilities across Arm sites. Specifically, this crucial role will: Provide vital technical quality leadership for Arm engineering Approve key IP releases as the quality assessor & collaborate with the existing pool of technical and verification assessors across all Arm sites to lead quality alignment, consistency, and excellence Objectively evaluate the quality of releases and collaborate across sites/groups on global improvements as needed to drive industry leading benchmark quality Lead proactive and predictive bug and errata analysis across IP programs/products Drive objective technical root cause analysis on design, development, and verification issues Collaborate with and support Arm's Productivity Engineering team (central design and verification methodology) on: Standard methodology on engineering requirements for quality continuous improvement Evaluate and implement compulsory engineering requirements for releases Evaluate efficiency efforts - which can support improved quality To be effective in this role, the Senior Principal Quality Engineer will bring essential skills and experience including Practical experience of working on microprocessor designs and/or related verification methodology Exposure to all stages of design will be immensely valuable: initial concept, specification, implementation and testing, documentation and support Ability to work under time-scale pressure and meet bold targets that help ensure high quality Demonstrated quality leadership experience within her/his technical field Understanding of the fundamentals of computer architecture Experience with technical team leadership and mentoring/coaching Experience of technical interaction with customers Knowledge of assembly language (preferably ARM), C/C++ and/or hardware verification languages e.g. SystemVerilog, Specman ‘e' Our Core Beliefs lie at the heart of Arm and represent the essence of our organization.
