Information Security Officer Location: Luton
Salary: £42,792 per annum

The University is looking to recruit a cyber-security specialist to act as a point of expertise and coordination for managing cyber-security at the University. This will include developing and maintaining a University ISMS (Information Security Management System), organising the activities of the University CSIRT group, administering the University SIEM system and other technical security applications, vulnerability management, assessment and mitigation, security incident management and information security related policy and compliance activities. It will also involve security related project management, risk register and information asset maintenance and formulating and agreeing information security standards for both project and operational activities within the department and across the organisation. The post holder will have substantial knowledge and experience around both the technical and governance elements of information security management and will be self-motivated and committed to achieving a high level of information security maturity within the University.
