Automation Engineer Workington Up to £50k Are you an Automation Engineer / Controls Engineer / PLC Engineer / DCS Engineer / EC&I Engineer?Do you have Automation & PLC Controls experience within a Process / Production environment?Are you looking to work for a company who invest heavily in both site & people?If so, then please see belowAutomation Engineer Workington Up to £50k Huxley Engineering and a European Giant in Heavy Process & Production are looking to recruit an Automation Engineer for their Heavy Process Site in Workington, owing to capital investment in 2021 and succession planning within the business.Reporting into the Engineering Manager and Automation Team Leader, the Automation Engineer will be responsible for delivering and developing asset category management roadmaps, supporting the planning and scheduling process and the overall reliability programme with a structured and sustainable approach.

In addition, the Automation Engineer will also be responsible forIdentifying & implementing solutions for automation asset categories to address obsolescence and improving the management of spare parts, competence and suppliersSupport planning and scheduling of preventative maintenance and technical assistance for Craft and hands on fault finding using PLC/DCS systemsCorrective maintenance within the E/I areaSupport criticality analysis, maintenance strategy and equipment failure analysisDemonstrate a structured approach to leadership and organisational developmentWork closely with engineering, contractors, specialists and suppliersExperience & Qualifications Required for Automation Engineer role: Educated to HNC Level (min.) in Electrical Engineering, Controls Engineering, Automation Engineering or ECI Engineering (or equivalent in a technical discipline)Prior Automation Engineering / Controls Engineering experience within an Industrial / Process / Production environmentExperience with PLC's and DCS's (Ideally Honeywell & Siemens)Prior project engineering / project management experiencePrior knowledge of Maintenance Systems, Processes & PlanningAppropriate training in Health and SafetyFor the successful Automation Engineer, a salary up to £50,000 is on offer, plus a benefits package including Pension, Holidays, Life Assurance and Private Health Scheme and this Automation Engineer role is commutable from Wokrington, Penrith, Aspatria, Whitehaven, Keswick, Wigton, Bothel, Carlisle, Cockermouth, Egremont, Seascale and Waberthwaite.To be considered for this Automation Engineer role, please apply via the link below.
