We are currently seeking applications for an Oracle Development Manager within the Digital Delivery Service based in Edinburgh. This is a permanent and pensionable appointment and new entrants will normally start on the minimum of the pay range. The Scottish Government (SG) has clear objectives relating to financial competence and fiscal responsibility. Financial systems are an essential component of all SG delivery now and into the future. The Scottish Government Enterprise Accounting System (SEAS) is the main corporate system which provides accounting and payment facilities for SG and many other customers both part of and external to the SG infrastructure. SEAS routinely processes around £34bn of expenditure making payments accurately, on time and creating the correct accounting for them. Payments are made to other public bodies, employees and third party suppliers of goods and services among others.

DDaT Pay Supplement

This post attracts a £4000 DDAT pay supplement after a 9 month DDaT competency qualifying period. Pay Supplements are a temporary payment designed to address recruitment and retention issues caused by market pressures and are subject to regular review.

Qualifications Required

For jobs in Band B & C you must hold a minimum of 3 Highers or equivalent.

Other qualifications equivalent to these may also be acceptable, if you are in any doubt please contact to discuss.

Essential Criteria

Experience of working with a Financial solution, ideally Oracle Financials (E-Business Suite Release 12).

Staff Management and working within a driven project team.

Has knowledge of working within a Systems Development environment.

Communication and Engagement within a customer focused environment.
