About us

Ofsted is the Office for Standards in Education, Children's Services and Skills. We inspect and regulate services that care for children and young people, but also services for learners of all ages. Every week, we carry out hundreds of inspections and regulatory visits throughout England, reporting on standards across the country and delivering our results to Parliament.

Working with us gives you the chance to help protect and advance children's lives, but also take on projects that will push your skills and advance your career. There's huge scope for both personal and professional development, whatever your role.

About the role

You'll be involved in a wide range of development projects, especially developing automations using UiPath, PowerAutomate and SharePoint. You'll also take the lead on changes and maintenance to live automations.

Once you're part of our fast-paced, agile environment, you'll collaborate with team members across Ofsted to develop automation solutions that help us work more efficiently and deliver stronger outcomes for children and young people.

Beyond development, you'll respond quickly to resolve incidents and adapt to changing business priorities. Helping others to learn and develop is a key part of the role, as you'll also provide training to new team members.

About you

You'll be experienced in automation development, change management, testing and delivery support. You'll have a working knowledge of UiPath, Blue Prism or equivalent software, and skills in technical problem analysis and 3rd line technical support.

We also need positive, energetic candidates with good communication skills who can deliver at pace, develop others and constantly find ways to improve the way we work.

About our benefits

We're committed to maintaining your health and wellbeing, be that physically, emotionally, financially or socially, and our benefits reflect this. You'll have the option to join the Civil Service Pension Scheme, take advantage of our many professional and personal development opportunities, enjoy 32.5 annual leave days per annum (plus public holidays) and get access to counselling and advisory services for you and your family.
