About the Role

Our Senior Front-End Developers are always looking for new and better ways to improve our market-leading automotive site, working to enhance the experience for our customers and consumers across mobile and desktop.

They're passionate advocates of research and data-driven development and A/B testing, analytics, and user feedback allow them to solve the right problems for the best results. From design and interaction to accessibility and performance, they have a passion for continuous improvement. Their work is continuously deployed, and as a company, we're averaging around 757 releases a week.

What we're looking for

You'll bring experience of Vanilla JS, React, CSS (using OOCSS, BEM & ITCSS), and semantic HTML.

A focus on Test Driven Development with experience writing automated testing, and cross-browser testing such as Nightwatch, Cypress, Jest and Backstop.

It would be great if you also have experience with Webpack, build tools such as Yarn and task runners such as gulp but this is not essential.

Working on multiple different workstreams across the site, our senior developers also take an active role in mentoring our apprentices, graduates and professional developers.

We are looking for people to join us on a part-time basis and can offer between 22.5 and 30 hours per week. If you have any questions about working hours before applying, please do reach out.

Benefits and more

We offer a salary between £40,000 and £60,000 a year, based on a 37.5-hour week. Our flexible benefits package includes 28 days annual leave, not including bank holidays - plus ½ day afternoon office closures on Christmas and New Year's Eve, pension and healthcare.
