Scrum Master - Devops, Agile, Safe, ReleasePermanent PositionBased in Central LondonAll Salaries Considered Job PurposeTo deliver Technology initiatives that support and continually improve operational efficiency through driving automation and operational excellent, and cost efficiency. Enablement of SLAs and efficiency targets, providing support for solutions based upon principles of high-availability, agility, scale and efficiency based on agile/lean principles and practices.Responsible for supporting the cross-functional teams across Digital and Technology - monitoring the scrum processes and scrum meetings, increasing team efficiency, motivating the team, creating change that will ensure quality and timeliness, resolving internal team conflict and conflict with others.Key AccountabilitiesLeadership and best practice Lead and influence and coach others including those more senior, on best practices to facilitate adoption and maturity of agile and DevOps practicesDefine agile best practice tools and processes to promote effective communication between the Product team and their key stakeholdersDefine metrics for product delivery and report on themBuild, develop and maintain virtualisation automation, monitoring and reporting toolsReview and improve prioritisation and product-intake frameworks and processes, ensuing use of best practice frameworks and promoting their adoptionDevelop the Definition of Done framework, designing the appropriate governance forums, and promoting it across the organisation to encourage adoptionParticipate in automation initiatives driving change and efficienciesRun and review quarterly planning process across product portfoliosKnow and understand the meaning behind our virtues of Empathy, Integrity, Focus, Connection, Speed, Curiosity, Impact and embody them in all aspects of your role.You understand that our virtues are the bedrock of our client and you use them to guide your decisions - whether big or small, and also as a compass to guide the behaviour of your team - ensuring that they regularly affirm and check in with the virtues. DeliveryDefine the plan - using support tooling (Wiki, JIRA, Align etc.) - and co-ordinate across the teams to enable effective collaboration as new features, products and services are conceived, developed and launchManage key initiatives, helping the product team operate as effectively as possible including collaborations, processes and tools we use and the way we communicate with our stakeholdersWorking with Product team, ensure the backlog is development-ready and in line with our client's processes - meeting regulatory needsResolve issues that hinder the teams' workTroubleshoot, resolve and assist in complex virtualisation and server related issues through codeEssential SkillsTechnical Knowledge and Experience Deep knowledge and significant experience of Agile methodologies and frameworks like Scrum, Kanban, SAFeDeep knowledge and significant experience of Product Development & Management tools (JIRA, Rally, Align etc.)Deep knowledge and significant experience of tools supporting Enterprise Agile (Jira, Rally, Align etc.)Good understanding of the holistic lifecycle of Software Development and previous experience of implementing DevOps tools within an organisation, proficient in the areas of product selection, hands-on tooling, with the ability to justify the use of DevOps in the organisationStrong understanding of user-centred designUnderstand and be an advocate of the DevOps culture and squad mentality in software developmentTelemetry and use of information radiators and data driven decision makingAbility to learn new languages and technologiesBudget managementLeadership and Facilitation Experience of leading multidisciplinary digital teams to deliver digital service from discovery, design, delivery, growth, continuous improvement to retirementExcellent facilitation skills and change management experienceStrong organisational and prioritisation skillsGood problem-solving skillsGreat interpersonal and communication skills, a passion for agile and a great team playerAcademic or vocational qualifications and/or professional memberships without which this role cannot performRequired Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science or related fieldKey relationships to reach solutions:All levels of seniority across the organisation to embed Agile across the multi-disciplinary teamsThird party suppliersDue to the volume of applications, we regret that we can only respond to those meeting our above requirements.
