IT/Infrastructure Analyst

(Infrastructure Analyst, Infrastructure Engineer, Networks and Infrastructure, Server Support, Storage, 3rd line, Microsoft Server, Citrix XenApp, VMware, Cisco networking, Veeam, Solarwinds)

You will contribute by being responsible for:Ongoing proactive maintenance/monitoring of both server and network InfrastructureDesign and Implementation of new infrastructure to support new business applications/growthTo consult and advise on infrastructure problems, and provide suitable solutionsProvide 3rd Line support to the service desk/desktop team with any server or network related issuesReview system software and firmware updates for services within the operations team remit and identify those that merit action, making recommendations for implementation.Act as technical resource, in support of project installations which utilise a variety of technologiesEnsure all IT systems function within the parameters of the Service Level Agreements (SLA's)

Skills essential for the role:Experience of supporting VMWare environments 5.x/6.x Including build, deployment and migrationExperience of supporting Citrix XenApp 6.x/7.x environments Including build, deployment and migrationA good understanding of core networking technologies and structured infrastructureA good understanding of storage technologiesA good understanding of security best practicesExperience in build and support of Microsoft Server technologies
