1st / 2nd IT Support Analyst (Windows / Microsoft) Devon.

The client is a large independent organisation with offices throughout the South West & are looking to hire a new person to join their IT Support team.

Working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment, you'll provide 1st / 2nd Line IT Support to troubleshoot any IT support query & ensure that users systems are operational to accomplish business tasks. This includes receiving, prioritizing, documenting & actively resolving user support requests via the telephone, e-mail & online call logging systems. You will be involved with project work, as well as regular 2nd line support etc.

Title: Microsoft / Windows 1st / 2nd line IT Support Analyst.

Location: Devon, commutable from Exeter, Plymouth, Okehampton, Honiton.

Salary: c£19,500 - c£24,500 pa salary is negotiable on experience plus benefits.

Start: ASAP.

Duration: Permanent.

Your attributes as a person are the most important as you'll be focusing on ensuring high customer satisfaction, you'll need exceptional interpersonal skills & an ability to absorb & retain information quickly. With good written & oral communication skills can present ideas in a user-friendly manner. Highly self-motivated & directed you'll have keen attention to detail with analytical & problem-solving abilities & can prioritize & execute tasks in a fast-paced work environment.

Technically to be successful in this role you are going to have good experience of computer hardware (PC's, Laptops, Printers, Scanners, digital photocopiers as well as proven experience with desktop & server operating systems, including Windows 10 & Windows Server, & Office365 plus networking & TCPIP protocol.

It would be useful if you have some knowledge of a range of diagnostic utilities, Citrix Xenapp & virtualization technologies & application support experience (or happy to learn) using remote control & help desk support software.

Any certifications in Microsoft Desktop Operating systems & Office applications / Server qualifications is desirable.

Main Duties & Responsibilities:

The main duty is to provide a high-quality 1st & 2nd line IT Support to end users via both telephone & e-mail in a courteous manner, Logging details in the helpdesk system you'll prioritize problems & escalate problems (when required). You'll build rapport & elicit problem details from service desk customers using diagnostic utilities to aid in troubleshooting & access knowledge bases, & FAQ's resources on the Internet to aid in problem resolution.

You'll perform hands-on fixes at the desktop level, including installing & upgrading software, installing hardware, implementing file backups, & configuring systems & applications.
