If so, we would love to hear from you!   Reporting to the Chief Technology Officer, the Head of Digital Business Partnering is a key role within our Digital Service senior leadership team. You will be working closely with senior colleagues to embed, communicate and deliver our recently developed Digital Technology strategy, and ensure it meets and reflects the needs and requirements of the business. You will be the voice of the business, advocating and influencing strategic digital decisions across DfT to achieve value for money and alignment with digital and technology service design principles. 

You will lead a team of experienced Digital Business Partners whose role is to support DfT in its ongoing Digital Transformation. Taking the lead in developing trusted, influential relationships that both support and challenge DfT in its Digital thinking, you will be a trusted internal consultant.   Responsibilities   Accountable for developing trusted senior relationships across all DfT Groups and promoting the Digital Service, working and communicating effectively with colleagues across the DfT family. 
Influence with strategic relationships on business demand as a member of senior management meetings, including financial boards. 
Be responsible for building, leading and supporting a team of Digital Business Partners that understand DfT Groups' needs and develop influential relationships. 
Understanding business perspective of digital services, both at strategic and tactical levels, to ensure users' needs are met. 
Understanding, anticipating, influencing and defining digital demand for services across all DfT Groups. 
Be responsible alongside the Chief Architect, and Digital Service Business Manager for DfT's digital technology strategy. 

About You 

We are looking for an experienced senior business partner with the following experience and capability: 

Digital and technology business partnering. You will be an experienced Digital & Technology professional with demonstrable evidence of leading a business partnering team in a high-profile organisation. 
Relationship building and advocacy. Demonstrable experience of relationship building with senior peers with adeptness at advocating with business customers and digital technology teams to create shared understanding, agree solutions and resolve competing demands. 
Making and guiding decisions. Experience shaping Digital and Technology agenda of an organisation, aligning business demand with in-house capability and or third party delivery. 
Communication. A creative thinker who can assess complex technical issues and then inform and influence senior stakeholders in a non- technical manner. 
Strategy. Experience creating digital and technology strategies, roadmaps and plans for an organisation, from groups to directorate level, showing commonality of demand across the enterprise. 
Stakeholder management. Experience of briefing, challenging, influencing and engaging with senior officials, up to and including Director General and Permanent Secretary level (or equivalent) and Ministers, providing advice in a format that allows risk-based decisions to be made. 
Leadership and management. You will be adept at working collaboratively as part of a senior leadership team to set and deliver strategy, culture and behaviours that foster a culture of high performance and rapid delivery of outcomes. This will include proven experience of leading teams and developing staff to meet and exceed their potential.
