NOC Engineer / 1st Line Engineer - Windows Server / Desktop We are looking for a NOC / 1st Line Engineer to join a leading service provider, to monitor, troubleshoot and configure a large, European wide Network Operations Centre providing services to hundreds of customers spanning thousands of servers. Full training and support will be provided however we require a candidate with an active interest in IT and some relevant knowledge / experience of Microsoft Desktop / Server to carry out this key role within the organisation.You should ideally possess or be working towards CCNA / MCP / MCSA level certifications, or wanting to achieve this. The company will support and fund relevant professional certifications and encourage personal development and progression for the successful NOC / 1st Line Engineer.The day to day responsibilities and complexities of the job will be varied, ranging from proactive network monitoring, troubleshooting, liaising with customers and providing technical support on a range of products, and also the opportunity to work with senior network / server engineers on more complex troubleshooting tasks. The most important thing is to have the desire to learn new things and increase your technical expertise with a broad range of technologies.Experience required (not all essential):Proven experience of the following technologies within a NOC / Network Engineer / 1st Line Technical Support role:MS Server / Operating SystemsVirtualisation technologies such as VMware or CitrixBackup technologiesRouting and switchingEthernet switchingLAN and WANWireless networkingThe NOC Engineer / 1st Line Engineer will benefit from an excellent working environment with an expanding organisation who invest heavily in their employee's progression and development.
