Azure Architect/ Engineer - Openshift/ Kubernetes - Fully RemoteRate: £500 - £600 Length: 6 Months Initial Location: Remote until further notice High-Level Outline of the Role:Cloud Lead Engineer & Architect role that focuses on OpenShift & AKS, containerisation and building the container orchestration platform. The role has a broad remit - hands-on with engineering work and an involvement in architecture. Candidates must be comfortable with the hands-on elements of the job, and competent with the related technologies outlined below (specifically Terraform & PowerShell)The end client uses OpenShift today; but is moving to AKS.The role is integral to helping mature a recently delivered Azure landing zone; as the end client - a leading financial services organisation - starts to move applications into production within their Azure environment. This involves identifying processes and ways of working that can help mature the space, upskilling the wider team around Cloud Engineering; providing support to the operation, and providing an input around architecture.Technical Criteria:Azure DevOps Pipeline (must understand this properly…)Terraform & PowerShell. Azure CLI and Bash are more relevant however as they should become the prominent options shortly. Ansible also very useful.Containerisation experience - must be at least a 7/10 around OpenShift & AKSAKS, Kubernetes experience key. Ideally, someone who has delivered on an enterprise level and understands the delivery of this into a Financial Services organisation - with understanding of the security side - would be ideal (route to production basically, while following compliance standards).
