Java Developer London to £70k
Java Developer / Backend Software Engineer (SQL API Java Spring). Are you a data centric Java Developer? You could be joining a City based financial software house, working on complex and interesting systems that provide daily challenges and gaining valuable knowledge of financial trading systems.
As a Java Developer you will design and develop new features and functionality for one of the flagship financial post trade products. The company provides a suite of financial software applications to the asset management and finance community, including Tier 1 Investment Banks, Hedge Funds and Investment Managers.
As a Java Developer your role will predominately focus on designing and developing data centric backend trading systems, you'll be working in an Agile team using TDD, continually learning and developing your skillset.
The company is currently offering a remote interview / onboarding process and work from home until at least Spring 2021 when a gradual return to the City based offices is expected - although with continued flexibility going forwards.
Requirements:
Java development experience, including Spring
Good SQL skills; able to read code, write queries & stored procedures & comfortable with joins; experience with JDBC, JPA or JDO
Experience of developing REST APIs
Advocate of Agile development methodologies and Test Driven Development (TDD)
Technologist with a keen interest in producing quality software (clean, scalable code)
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Likely to be degree educated; no finance experience required
