More about the roleOn the Engineering Jumpstart programme, you'll rotate across the business, learning from thousands of experts and shaping our journey as we change the face of retail through innovation.
Across the 20-month programme you will: Be based in one of our exciting tech hubs in London, Milton Keynes, Coventry or Manchester, surrounded by experts Rotate across 3 different Tech teams Design and implement software and systems using modern technologies and agile methodologies Work on real products that have an impact on our customers and change the way people shop online and in-store Collaborate with others on the programme to work on a dedicated ‘Betaworks' project? - with the possibility of your project going live into the business Jumpstart your career as a Sainsbury's Tech Engineer What we're looking for At Sainsbury's Tech Academy we know that everyone's background and journey looks different. That's why we're not focused on where you've come from. We care about what you can build and how you can help us drive innovation. You may be a recent graduate, or you may be completely self-taught: all you need are some key skills and a drive to change the future of retail. You'll need: Knowledge of one or more programming languages Experience/knowledge of implementation, security and testing A genuine passion for technology Creative problem-solving skills Enthusiasm and a willingness to learn Teamwork and collaboration skills
