DevOps Engineer / Linux Systems AdministratorMy client are embarking on one of the largest Network transformations in the UK and are in need of a DevOps Engineer / Linux Systems Administrator to manage internal servers and associated systems infrastructuresThe ideal candidate must have experience with Linux scripting languages, and Linux-based operating systems such as OpenBSD, Debian and CentOS. And also have previously Design and develop systems and network automation using deployments such as Ansible, Netmiko, Netconf, and any other suitable systems.

Core responsibilities/essential knowledge:

Own, deploy, and manage all server and systems infrastructures. This will include the direct involvement with hardware selection, installation, and maintenance along with the design and implementation of industry standard Open-source software to meet requirements.Monitor system and service performance to make sure systems are working and scaled to meet demand. Work to improve any failing system or service to the point of restructure if necessary.Liaise with content providers and oversee locally hosted caches and servers to maintain direct traffic flows from customer CPE to content ensuring best possible connectivity.Coordinate with the Network Operations team in the design and management of CPE Auto-Configuration Server using HTTP/HTTPS connectivity to establish TR-069 communication for CPE device provisioning and management.Identify the root cause of systems issues using problem-solving skills and work to produce long-lasting solutions to prevent repeat issues.This role requires someone who is as comfortable at their desk as being out in the field.
