The Working Team Leader shall be responsible for supporting the Engineering Manager in the management of the day to day activities of the hydromechanical and instrumentation engineering teams that make up the Packaged Controls Products group within PCS. The role requires the candidate to design and develop subsea products to effect short-term and long-term business goals.
Essential Responsibilities:
* Delegate Engineering Manager:
o All functional and technical responsibilities
o Provide timely communications on significant issues or developments
o Undertake annual and half yearly people reviews
* Coordinate and manage resource support as required:
o Route Cause Analysis (RCA) engineering involvement
o New Product Introduction (NPI) engineering development
o Engineering Cost out initiatives
o OTD
o Provide technical leadership to personnel supporting the assigned projects
* Manage & execute the Product Structuring project, for all identified Package Product deliverables. Must be able to:
o Manage and coordinate all assigned engineers aligned to the dedicated product structuring plan
o Manage and maintain the product structuring plan
o Provide weekly status reports to management against agreed milestones and deliverables.
o All products are to be defined within the Team Center engineering tool
o Where required define, review or release parts / documents within Team Center
* Work with Quality Engineering to harmonise:
o Engineering practices
o Cost of poor quality, and drive the improvement through the function / business
o Change control management and execution through to closure
o Execute the design, analysis, or evaluation of assigned projects using sound engineering principles and adhering to business standards, practices, procedures, and product / program requirements
* Work with Outsourcing Engineering to:
o Remote site management
o OTD
* Work with the Product Owners within Package Products team to:
o Create, review ITO CTRs
o Supplier development
o Lifecycle and Service costs reduction via product improvement
o In-Country faults investigations, product improvements
* Client interface as required
Qualifications / Requirements:
* BEng or MEng Degree in Mechanical Engineering or appropriate discipline
* Chartered Engineer, preferred
* Detailed engineering package engineer experience across hydromechanical Subsea equipment - +10yrs
o 3years of which as a Senior Engineer
* NPI and EPC project execution experience
* Demonstrated leadership skills in management of resource, coaching and execution on time
* Proven experience within the Oil and Gas industry
* Proven experience in a team lead position
* Proven experience in managing projects from concept through to part release against a dedicated plan
