Nuclear Safety Improvement Strategy ManagerDevonport, Plymouth6 Month ContractPay: circa £60/hr LTD or £45.25/hr PAYE (dependant on experience) ASAP start subject to security clearance. Successful candidate can start with baseline clearance in place. Primary PurposeTo lead complex projects within the Nuclear Safety Improvement Programme.This is a UK eyes only project.This role will involve a lot of remote working. Principal Tasks and ResponsibilitiesNuclear Safety Improvement Project Manager principal tasks and responsibilities are:Leading the project to deliver world class performance by means of employee engagement, continuous improvement and identifying and implementing the latest technology.Developing and maintaining an approved Scope of Work, detailing the Project Outcomes, Outputs, Benefits and Measures of Success.Development and maintenance of a project schedule, agreed between Project Sponsor and Business Change Manager, containing achievable project Milestones.Submission of monthly review reports, indicating project status against the schedule, any deviations, risks / issues and corrective action(s) taken.Chairing Project Review Meetings between the Sponsor, Business Change Manager and key stakeholders.Defining and communicating resource requirements to deliver and sustain the project within the business and reporting gaps for escalation to the Programme Delivery Board.Development and maintenance of a project Stakeholder Management Plan and communications plan.Development and maintenance of a project Benefits Realisation Plan.Managing, mitigating and communicating Risks, Issues, Assumptions, Dependencies and Opportunities.Establishing and maintaining governance arrangements for the delivery of the project, defining clear roles, responsibilities and accountabilities that align with Business Management System.Primary project point of contact for routine Regulator engagements and interventions.Representing the Business Change Manager, in their absence, during Programme Delivery Board engagements.Facilitating engagement workshops and problem-solving sessions, with key stakeholders (including end users), to ensure buy-in and understanding.Lead on Health, Safety, Security, Environment and Quality within the project.Identification and sharing of Lessons learned back into the business Qualifications and Experience RequirementsBachelor's degree in a STEM / Project management subject or 3 years relevant experience.Experience of working in the nuclear industry.Commitment to improve and pro-actively contribute to successful improvement changes.Flexibility to facilitate project deliveryHealth Physics experienceLicence condition complianceCreation of compliance documentationExperience of business management system creationStakeholder Management & Communication
