Executive Director- Software Engineering

This role will be responsible for leading the development effort for several scrum teams in one of our key product offerings. The candidate has experience with leading multiple development teams both offshore and on-site. The candidate has experience in developing and deploying native cloud-based solutions, possesses a passion for container-based technologies, immutable infrastructure, and continuous delivery practices in deploying global commercial software. They also ensure that the software meets the required standards and follows industry best practices. As an Executive Director, you are also skilled in fostering collaboration, innovation and integrity not only within your team but across team boundaries.

Duties & Accountabilities:

Partnering with Product head to identify, rationalize, and roadmap new business requirements and capabilities

Working collaboratively with engineering teams on the development of new products, enhancements and redesigns

Leading a team of software engineers who have adopted an agile, DevOps-oriented approach. Managing team of 40+ technologists across Geographical locations.

Partnering with their business lead to make key decisions on technology investments and budgeting

Own the implementation of an industry wide product set on a cloud native technology stack.

Implementing CI/CD for the platform to enable hands off cloud native deployments along with Monitoring and Billings.

Managing Technical Support for various platforms with 24 X 5 model with Team in India

Working with their business leads and the firm's Response Management teams on Client RFPs

Excellent analytical and problem solving skills 

Be pro-active and creative in answering business requirements

Able to manage dependencies and timely manage priority

Education & Experience:

Degree in Computer Science or related field.

At least 5+ years of experience in leading developers and delivering a product

At least 10 years of experience in designing and implementing large scale enterprise applications (discover, design, implement and optimize)

Strong platform implementation skills

Good understanding of non-functional aspect of product implementations

Strong problem solving techniques

Should be able to drive scrums and technology teams
