Senior Java Developer London to £110k

Senior Java Developer / Software Engineer (Java 8). Are you a senior Java Developer who'd like to remain hands-on coding, working on complex and interesting real-time trading systems whilst enjoying a good work / life balance?

You could be joining a City based trading firm. As a Senior Java Developer you will design, develop and maintain server side Java components which support a highly scalable mission critical real-time financial trading platform, working across the full development lifecycle. You'll partner closely with Front Office users, with a particular focus on Pricing & Risk systems across multiple asset classes.

The company is able to offer a remote interview / onboarding process and work from home during the current social distancing measures with the expectation that you'll be based full-time in the City office in due course.

Requirements:

Strong core Java design and development skills, Java 8 or above

Experience with financial / trading systems (ideally Pricing and Risk) and a good understanding of the trade lifecycle

Thorough understanding of computing fundamentals, object orientated programming, threading, concurrency and distributed systems and a good grasp of mathematics

Experience of designing and developing large scale, distributed systems

Experience of writing automated tests

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Strong problem solving and analytical abilities
