1st Line IT Support TechnicianMy client based in Cumbria are looking for a 1st Line IT Support Technician to join a growing helpdesk team. The ideal candidate must have at least 12 months experience of working on IT/Infrastructure technologies including but not limited to:Technical skills:Working knowledge of Windows operating systems.Some technical knowledge of PCs, networking, and communication equipment.Experience of using MS Office.Experience of providing Technical SupportExperience of providing Helpdesk SupportExperience of Anti-virus and backup systems The IT Support technician will be providing 1st line support to a network of around 200 users across multiple offices/sites in the UK, you must have both excellent technical and customer focused service skills and be able to work to tight deadlines in order to ensure the issue is resolved.Role Responsibilities:Provide first line support for telephone and email queries to the helpdesk, take messages on behalf of team members and signpost callers.Support software and hardware upgrades.Prepare and maintain computers, laptops and mobile phones.Monitor backup job notifications.Resolve common and recurring faults including printing and user account issues.Diagnose, research and identify solutionsSet up user accounts and email groups.Develop and maintain expertise in the use of the Associations software applications.Escalate problems to second line support where necessary.Liaise with 3rd party software and hardware providers when requested.
