Brief Description

Are you looking to work in a fast moving, dynamic and evolving business based in Exeter?

As a Senior Software Tester, you will play a leading role in maintaining exceptional product quality levels for this market leading range of software solutions in the vehicle sales market. Your responsibilities will range from test analysis and design through to test scripting, test execution and defect management.

You'll be working both as a key player within a feature delivery team, as well as working on strategic projects under the direction of the Test Manager, including, but not limited to standing up their automation framework and helping to drive improving standards in the QA function.

Working on a variety of projects and working in an Agile Scrum environment, the successful candidate will be an excellent team player with good communication skills, strong attention to detail, self-motivated, able to work independently or as part of a larger team and able to meet deadlines.

Responsibilities for Senior Test Engineer

- Assist in building a test framework to automate existing regression test scripts.

- Analyse current technologies used within the company and develop steps and processes to improve testing procedures

- Accurately document and monitor testing outcomes and establish steps to remedy problems

- Assist in creating effective performance tests which will measure the impact of large data sets and exercise the application in operational use

- Detailed understanding of how to properly document test cases and create effective and focused testing plans

- Actively participate in work refinement, estimating and demonstrating an effective approach to testing features

Qualifications for Senior Test Engineer

- Experience in software development and testing using modern OO languages.

- Experience extending, customising and adapting automation test tools.

- Advanced understanding with software engineering processes, customer experience and design architecture

- Ability to work with various teams to facilitate the orderly execution of a proposed project plan

- Advanced knowledge of testing methodologies and effective test strategies

- Knowledge and experience working with cross browser testing

- Knowledge and experience working with performance test frameworks

- Professional work experience of agile processes including continuous integration

- Current understanding of best practices regarding system security measures
