In this Software Engineer position you will join a rapidly expanding team who are responsible for supporting the core digital products. Here, you will play a critical role in building the Video on Demand platform that will be used to deliver content to a multitude of targets.

This is an exciting venture for an ambitious Software Engineer who is keen to act as a key technical pivot within a broader engineering team. You'll have the chance to refine your skills in a technology-driven environment using a range of modern development practices including Continuous Deployments to the cloud environment (AWS); making technology decisions and contributing to product strategy.

Requirements:

You have strong core Java development experience and experience of using Java based tools (Spring, Akka, DropWizard)

You have experience of working on large scale, distributed systems with scalability challenges

You're experienced working with and deploying to Cloud services (AWS a plus)

You have experience or the desire to work with and learn Video on Demand services (e.g. FFmpeg, HLS) and Scala

You're familiar with microservices and CI/CD; DevOps environments, Ansible experience would be great

You're a confident, self-assured communicator and positive team player who excels when working collaboratively
