IT Technician
London, EC4 (flexible working arrangements will be considered) 
Circa £23,000 per annum DOE Plus Comprehensive Benefits (see below) 

We are Mental Health Innovations (MHI), a digital mental health charity that develops new ways to help people have conversations about mental health.

In May 2019, we launched Shout 85258, the UK's first free 24/7 crisis text support service. Shout 85258 has had nearly 300,000 conversations with people who are anxious, stressed, depressed, overwhelmed or unable to cope and who need immediate support.

We've grown rapidly over the past two years and we're looking to consolidate our growth in a sustainable way. As part of this, we're looking for an IT Technician to deliver a first-class IT support service to our organisation. 

As an IT Technician, you will:

- Work with our existing team to develop and run our IT and security support services
- Ensure that IT issues are logged and resolved in line with agreed service levels 
- Make sure that employees who have raised tickets are given regular updates  
- Liaise with third party providers to resolve issues 
- Escalate high priority issues or complex problems to 2nd line support when required 
- Promote the effective use of IT in the organisation

To join us as our IT Technician, you will need:

- At a minimum, A Levels (or equivalent), ideally in a computing-related subject 
- At least one year's experience as an IT technician
- Good skills in managing devices and software 
- A logical approach to problem solving
- An analytical mindset 
- Excellent documentation skills 

A degree (or equivalent) would be beneficial to your application, as would experience of working in an IT support team. Knowledge of any of the following would be an advantage: Salesforce, JIRA, Mac/iOS, Gmail, G Suite, GDPR, ITIL, cloud computing and database concepts, or Agile methodology and product release cycles. 

Other organisations may call this role IT Support Technician, 1st Line Support Technician, IT Helpdesk Technician, Desktop Support Technician, IT Service Desk Technician, IT Support Analyst, Technical Support Analyst, or IT Support Advisor.
